Shipping Department Assembler


As part of the 10ZiG Shipping Team, you’ll gather and assemble parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in our Thin & Zero Client (computer hardware) manufacturing environment. You’ll also be completing the shipping process for assembled products.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and follow sales orders, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun.
  • Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Package and ship assembled products.
  • Receive palletized freight and help to unload shipping containers.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts.

Qualification requirements:


  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Basic reading skills; must be able to follow directions
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills

Overview


We are currently looking to add a Senior Linux Software Engineer who can demonstrate a drive and enthusiasm in embedded thin client operating systems designed to support x86 based endpoints, such as PC’s and Laptops for VDI and Server Based Computing. The candidate will work as part of the existing R&D team which is distributed across the USA and Europe. The role is primarily based in our Leicester, UK office and you will report to the Head of R&D based in Phoenix Arizona, with input and guidance from the Chief Technology Office (CTO) based out of our UK office.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


Candidate will have knowledge of the Linux operating system as follows:

  1. Able to write shell scripts in sh, csh, or bash.
  2. Able to use Linux based tools such as editors, compilers, graphical development utilities.
  3. Understanding of the structure of the Linux operating system.
  4. Able to configure and build Linux kernel from source.
  5. Able to build Linux kernel modules and drivers.
  6. Able to integrate third party Linux drivers and utilities.
  7. Understanding of the X11 graphical subsystem.

Candidate will be able to develop graphical interfaces and other custom utilities as follows:

  1. Familiarity with at least one source control package.
  2. Proficient in C/C++ and JavaScript.
  3. Have used at least one graphical development tool under Linux, preferably Qt.

Duties and Tasks


Candidate will work as the project lead for migrating an existing Linux build distribution (32-bit) designed to support Desktop PC’s and Laptops and merge into our latest 64-bit Linux build distribution, currently supported on 10ZiG x86 Thin Client Hardware.

Build/maintain/debug Linux kernel firmware and supporting infrastructure.

  1. Migrate existing x86 32-bit project to 64-bit.
  2. Manage integration of required x86 hardware, including driver/kernel support.
  3. Document and release Linux firmware builds to support.
  4. Work with support & R&D group to debug and fix bugs.
  5. Evaluate competitors’ products and related technology.
  6. Serve as a technical resource to both the team and management.

Specific Knowledge, Education, and Experience


Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and at least 8 years of experience. Candidate must also have a proven track record of working within a team of engineers. Communication skills are a must and experience to communicate remotely via collaboration tools is advantageous.

Overview


We are currently looking to add a Junior Technical Support Engineer to our team, where the role will be split between providing ongoing testing and 1st line technical support of 10ZiG Hardware & Software as is required. The role will report directly to the Technical Support Manager, with guidance and input from existing members of the team. The role will be office based, being situated with the rest of the Technical Support team. The role will be suited to an individual who has a keen desire to gain experience in the IT field and learn new technology, specifically in relation to virtual technologies such as Citrix, Microsoft and VMware. Ongoing training will be required as needed to enable the individual to progress in their role.


Duties and Tasks


A primary function of the role will be to assist with testing and QA of our Software & Firmware on an ongoing basis. This will involve testing 10ZiG Software & Firmware for connecting to partner products, including Citrix, Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon and more. You will also test the 10ZiG Manager software for management features of 10ZiG endpoints.

An additional function of the role will be to assist in triaging any 1st line Technical Support issues raised by our customers via phone, email, chat and remote assistance. You will be required to log customer support call in detail within our database. You will take ownership of calls where possible and engage the relevant senior members of the team for further mitigation or hand off.


In addition, further responsibilities below will apply:

  • Assist with the draft and editing of documentation and manuals
  • Provide troubleshooting and support as required for our internal test environments
  • Provide support to our internal IT infrastructure as required
  • Process any RMA requests, including suspected hardware failures from internal staff or customer deployments
  • Assist or take on other duties as needed by the department or company as we all work together in 10ZiG’s success


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Eagerness to take on new tasks and technology either via training or self-taught by using tools and information available
  • A can do and go getter attitude who can work through obstacles and involve other senior team members where necessary
  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Gain experience as you take part in meetings and voice conferences between departments, customers, business partners and vendors.
  • You will learn and gain experience on the latest in many industry standard virtual technologies such as VMware, Citrix and Microsoft WVD.
  • You will be asked to provide troubleshooting and support as required for our internal test environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a help desk role answering phone calls and emails
  • 1+ years working with virtualization technology in a support or administrator capacity

We are currently looking to add a Sales Engineer to join our team based in our Phoenix, Arizona.


The Sales Engineer provides pre-sales technical support to US based sales teams during the sales process. The Sales Engineer will work as needed directly with partners/end users within North America. Accountable for the technical validity and interoperability of solution and the direct relationship with the customers’ strategic business plans.


Responsibilities include a combination of pre-sales consultation services, performing technical product demonstrations, project managing, proof of concept engagements, and thin computing initiatives. Qualified candidates will work with mid sized & enterprise customers to shorten the sales cycle by overcoming technical hurdles within specified accounts. The Sales Engineer must demonstrate solid communication skills, technical expertise and working both independently and within a team. They must also be able to communicate both to a technical audience as well as management and c-level executives. The Sales Engineer must be able to work in a stressful yet results oriented environment, often switching different priorities at intervals as and where required.


Reporting into the Head of Technical Services based in Phoenix, Arizona. The role is primarily office based with some travel as required, including in person trade shows and external prospect meetings.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales team for pre-sales customers and partners.
  • Work with technical support team on handover of completed projects and tasks.
  • Match products and solutions to customer technical needs.
  • Describe key technical features, benefits and how these features differ from the competition.
  • Overcome common technical objections.
  • Reproduce customer issues and file articulate bug reports to development.

  • Understand and articulate management software options and deployment processes.
  • Understand and articulate all models of Thin and Zero clients and their features.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of IT experience in a Vendor, Professional Services, IT Consulting, Systems Integration, or end-user environment.
  • 2+ years, technical pre-sales experience, or technical business-related experience.
  • Citrix XenApp and Xendesktop experience (CCEA a plus), VMware View experience (VCP a plus), Microsoft Server OS 2003/2008, and Windows XP Pro/Windows 7 experience (MCSE a plus).
  • Computer Science or related Degree. Associates, Bachelors or higher preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with building servers and setting up networks.
  • Self-starter that manages time and activities with little day-to-day guidance or interaction from management.
